Colorado has always been home and I had opportunities to live in various parts after high school: Ft. Collins (yea CSU!), Granby, Glenwood Springs, Alamosa doing various things usually attached to schools and community projects. Now I am amazed to find myself in the Monterey Bay area of California. After graduate school, I was just going to come out here for a couple of years to get away from putting on snow chains and too many sweaters. I've now been out here for 16 years! I guess I was never good at keeping track of time. I work as a counselor at a community college (West Valley College) in Saratoga which is in the western side of the San Jose 'burbs". I have a little house "over the hill' in Santa Cruz - about a 15 minute walk from the beach and boat harbor. It's weird enough to hold my interest and also revive my sense of smaller town community connections. It has been amazing to read up on so many pasts and presents. Who would have thunk we would be so diverse. And I have almost forgiven Mark and Marilyn for announcing that they wanted to be U.N.C.L.E. agents in 8th grade before any of the rest of us could even say it. See what a memory trigger this whole website has become!!
