Denise Christiansen worked at East Bank (now known as Wells Fargo Bank) after high school and became an Operations Officer. She also worked as a ski patrol and at the dog track for extra money. She owned her own home on the East part of Colorado Springs. Denise became involved with another officer at the bank and the long term, tumultuous relationship was the onset of a reported drinking problem which resulted in her death on Christmas Eve, 1989. She essentially died of a broken heart. Several former classmates attended her funeral and Pastor Grassinger spoke.
