Norm Doss sent me a new poem about the class reunion, in mid October, 2004 - Thanks, Norm!
(For my friends and my class)
The men were there; the boys shined through.
Their voices and actions revealing their youth.

The ladies there had girls inside;
Their laughs and giggles they could not hide.

Buzz folded his arms and talked with great pride.
He MC'd this thing with class and great style.

Mr. B would talk of times long gone by.
It's funny now; it wasn't back then.

We reward his patience, his thoughtfulness
By treating the world as he treated us.

Ken would talk with his arms bent back,
His finger pointed and leaning a bit.

His scholarly way will never change;
He taught us well and was good to us.
Thirty some years is such a long time.
I crossed up some names, dates and times.

The "Was you" and "Did you" or "Were you" and "Nots"
Were coming from small talk all over the crowd.

To Don and Chris and all that did help,
We thank you so much for bringing us home.

Some of you traveled for hundreds of miles.
Thank you for coming and bringing your smiles.

The food was great; the evening was fun.
Our memories of this will be cherished for life.

Thirty some years is a long, long time;
Some memories lost, some sweetened with time.

Life has changed; the shadow we cast,
But Immanuel is home for the child in us.
